More Info
Hi there, I’m Pugsley! My story started on the side of a road, where my siblings and I were found by a kind man who brought us to safety. At first, being surrounded by so many big dogs was a little overwhelming—we didn’t exactly look like we fit in! But the wonderful humans here made sure we were cared for and loved. One by one, my siblings found their forever families. I was so happy for them, but I couldn’t help wondering, "when will it be my turn?" I’ve been waiting for two years now, dreaming of the day I’ll have a family of my own.
Here’s a little more about me: I’m a young, active pup who might have some herding breed in my mix (no DNA test yet, but my energy and love for running hint at it!). I’m looking for an equally active family who understands my need to move and play. Training will be key to helping me be my best self—I’m eager to learn and respond really well to positive praise and treats. I’m just a big-hearted guy who, like any toddler, might get into a bit of mischief if I’m bored!
My current foster family says I’m a super happy boy—maybe the happiest dog they’ve ever met! At first, I was pretty anxious, but every day I’m showing more of my personality. I do great with their dogs and would love a canine sibling in my forever home. Cats? Not a big deal to me—I’m mostly uninterested. I did show some separation anxiety early on, but my fosters figured out that if I’m crated in the same room as the other dogs when they’re away, I do fantastic. I even sleep through the night in my crate like a champ.
My leash manners are coming along nicely (thank you to my trainer for all your hard work with me!), and I’m incredibly food-motivated, which makes training a breeze. My foster buddy Remi and I love chasing each other, tugging on toys, and roughhousing. I’m confident that in the right environment, with time to decompress and a loving family, I’ll absolutely thrive.
If you’re looking for a loyal, playful, and endlessly happy companion, I’m your guy. Let’s make each other’s dreams come true—will you be the one to give me my forever home?
